For pole D: 2-1/2". Material: weather-resistant urethane. No drilling necessary. Upper part of the chock incorporates a flexible section which twists out of the way to allow insertion of the pole, and then twists back into place, securing the pole. Chocks sold individually; two chocks needed for each pole.
